Gender and Development Corner
PNP Crime Laboratory established a Gender and Development (GAD) Corner and recreation room for physical and sexual abuse clients through Medico-Legal Division in support to the Philippine Commission on Women Advocacies. The Crime Laboratory Office continues to deliver programs and services which will address the gender issues in the work place in order to promote gender equality and empowerment of women and their human rights. The room was created as a child friendly environment through delightful wall paintings and posters in order to relieve the stress of the victim. The Audio-Visual Presentation (AVP) shows the highlights of CL accomplishment activities pertaining to Gender and Development. This Unit as well as the CL personnel will become a gender sensitivity to ensure that we were not rely on assumptions about traditional and outdated views on the roles of men and women to raise awareness of gender equality concerns and by conducting various sensitization campaigns, trainings/lectures, and workshop.
On August 17, 2020, PBGEN ROLANDO J HINANAY, Director, Crime Laboratory, recieved the 210 boxes Sansure Biotect PCR Kits and 105 packs Sample Release Reagents from Bloomberry Cultural Foundation, Inc. (BCFI).This donation is meant to aid the Crime Laboratory Covid19 Testing Facility in responding to the Corona Virus Desease outbreak.
CL Special Report on the 25th Police Community Relations
For the period in review, the Crime Laboratory and its field offices performed a Police Community Relations Activities in relations to the 25th Police Community Relations Month Celebration that greatly contributed in enhancing the image of the organization. These activities include the participation of kick-off and culmination ceremony, Community Assistance and Development were conducted, joined or collaboration with other government agencies or private sector on disaster preparedness and response activities, drug test services to the clients, PNP personnel or other government agencies for LTOPF Caravan, outreach activities, sports, religious and environmental advocacy activities, Bloodletting, Hanging of the of 25th PCR Tarpaulin, Information Operations, Distribution of leaflets/flyers related to the advocacy of Gender and Development, and CL information flyers, crime scene preservation seminars, forensic lectures to different stakeholders, medical and dental missions, dialogues “pulong-pulong,” coordination with LGUs and government agencies, schools and other learning institutions, information drive campaigns. On April 16, 2020, representatives from PAMET PHILS donated assorted goods such as soap, biscuits, bottled water and facemask for Crime Laboratory personnel. The donation was received by PBGEN ROLANDO J HINANAY, DCL. The Unit is always grateful to all private sectors who continuously support the PNP in the fight against COVID19. Together we heal as one.
On January 27, 2020 (Monday), 5:00 PM, PNP Crime Laboratory turned over the donated relief goods/items comprising of clothes, foods, and toiletries from CL field offices and personnel for the victims/evacuees of Taal Volcano Eruption to the PCADG, OMD in person of PEMS De Leon, Jr at Police Community Affairs and Development Group (PCADG), Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City.
