Inauguration of CL Building at Pangasinan

On November 25, 2020, New Provincial Crime Laboratory building was inaugurated at the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPO) as part of its service improvement to benefit the public.

Crime Laboratory Director PBGen. STEVE B LUDAN,  led the inauguration, said that the building is a symbol of Bayanihan and a landmark proof of united efforts between the crime laboratory office and LGU-Pangasinan.

RCLO7 Inauguration of DNA and Upgraded Chemistry Laboratories

Regional Crime Laboratory Office 7 (MEGA CRIMELAB CEBU) inaugurated the DNA and Upgraded Chemistry Laboratories on October 19, 2020 at Doña Modesta S Gaisano St., Brgy. Sudlon, Lahug, Cebu City.
 
The activity was spearheaded by PBGEN STEVE B LUDAN, Director Crime Laboratory, PBGEN ALBERT IGNATIUS FERRO, Regional Director, PRO7 together with PCOL RODERICK C PAUSAL, Regional Chief, RCLO7.

Destruction of 2.5Billion-worth Seized Illegal Drugs

The Philippine National Police through Crime Laboratory in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) destructed the 2.5B-worth seized illegal drugs in CL NHQ custody at Integrated Waste Management Incorporated (IMWI), Trece Martinez City, Cavite on October 15, 2020.
 
The activity spearheaded by Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) Chairman CATALINO CUY, PDEA Director General WILKINS VILLANUEVA, and Director Crime Laboratory PBGEN STEVE B LUDAN with Atty. Benedicto A Malcontento, Prosecutor General Department of Justice National Prosecution Service as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.

PBGEN STEVE B LUDAN, D, CL, presides over the first staff conference held on September 4, 2020 attended by the CL Command Group, Chiefs, Technical Division and other key officers.

PGEN ARCHIE FRANCISCO GAMBOA, C, PNP with PBGEN ROLANDO HINANAY, D, CL checked on the Ocular Inspection conducted by Hon. Veronica Tongio-Ygot, Judge, RTC Br . 65 Makati City on the 370 kg seized drug evidence held at the Maringal Hall, CL on August 28, 2020.

On August 21, 2020, PBGEN ROLANDO, J HINANAY, DCL, witnessed the Destruction of Dangerous Drugs worth Php13.36B at Integrated Waste Management Inc. barangay Aguado, Trece Martires, Cavite together with CPNP, PGEN ARCHIE FRANCISCO GAMBOA, SEC. CATALINO S CUY, PDEA DIRECTOR WILKINS VILLANUEVA, HON.JOSE MIDAS MARQUEZ, Supreme Court Representative, Rep from Makati RTC Branch and friends from the media. The destruction and burning of the said drugs under CL custody was made in compliance with the court orders issued by he different Regional Trial Courts.

CL Advisory Council (CLAC) with Atty. Rotsie L. Bermejo as Chairperson, donated assorted vegetables for the consumption of CL personnel. The goods were turned over by Mr. Henry Young and Mr. Roger Mactal, both members of CLAC and received by PCOL GRACE M EUSTAQUIO, DDO/C, PSMU on October 6, 2020 (Tuesday), 9:00 AM at 2nd Floor, PNPCL Building, Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City. The CLAC used a slogan “Masustansiyang Gulay Handog ng Advisory Council upang and CL ay Manatiling Healthy.”

On Aug 6, 2020, NHQ Crime Laboratory, headed by PBGEN ROLANDO J HINANAY, DCL, together with personnel from different Regional Crime Laboratory and District Crime Laboratory Offices, joined through Zoom and FB online streaming in the celebration of the 119th PSA Celebration with the theme “Towards a Pandemic Resilient PNP, Adopting Protective Protocols in the New Normal”.

On July 20, 2020 at 7:30AM, under the Guidance of PBGEN ROLANDO J HINANAY, D,CL, conducts Rapid Testing to all Crime Laboratory incoming duty personnel as a safety measure against covid 19 at the CL Triage, Camp Crame, Quezon City, to ensure safety and maximize health protocols among the Personnel and in the workplace.

On June 30, 2020, PGEN ARCHIE FRANCISCO F GAMBOA, Chief of Philippine National Police together with PBGEN ROLANDO J HINANAY, Director Crime Laboratory and PLTCOL JOSEPH PALMERO, Chief of PNPCL Medico-Legal Division received one digital mobile forensic x-ray machine and two Leica Binocular microscopes with camera from Bloomberry Cultural Foundation Inc. (BCFI) during the turn-over ceremony and signing of Deed of Donation which was represented by Mr. Arcan Lat, CFO (Property), Senior Vice President, and Atty. Ellan Mark Pailan, Director, Regulatory Affairs at the Theater Lobby, Solaire Resort and Casino, Asean Ave., Paranaque City.

On April 14, 2020 representatives from DOH, together with PGEN ARCHIE FRANCISCO GAMBOA, C,PNP, PBGEN HINANAY, D,CL, PBGEN TADEO, D,HS and PBGEN FIDEL, D,ES conducted ocular inspection of the DNA Crime Laboratory Building as possible area for COVID 19 testing.

The PNP Crime Laboratory supports the C,PNP’s directive on BMI. Our commitment for effective and efficient performance of our duties as police officers to the community with a healthy mind and body.

On February 18, 2020 at 10:00 AM, Director, Crime Laboratory PBGEN ROLANDO J HINANAY, together with the members of CL Command Group and other Officers, gave tokens of appreciation to the visitors from UNIDIR, Mr. Manuel M Mirrales and Mr. Alfredo M Baldo at New Conference, 3rd Floor, Crime Laboratory, Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City.

The CL national headquarters in Camp Crame, being the show window of the PNP, as it is one of the destination offices for the educational tour of some college/university students and of foreign counterparts as well, were renovated. Some facilities were improved to maximize its services. All entry access were installed with security lock to enhance its features. Further, a new building was constructed to house the NPDCLO which office has been gutted with fire last 2017. Also, funds were allocated to the 21 field units (5 District and 16 Regional) for the renovation and standardization of its evidence room. Further, the DNA Section of the Mega-Laboratory at Cebu and Davao were also constructed and made functionable to be at part with the DNA Lab at the NHQ.
