The annual meeting and symposium of the Asian Forensic Science Network (AFSN) have consistently provided invaluable platforms for forensic professionals across the Asia-Pacific region. This year’s event was held from August 26 to 30, 2024, at the Royal Thai Navy Convention Hall in Bangkok, Thailand that brought together the 595 forensic scientists from 18 member countries. The symposium facilitated substantial discussions, collaboration, and knowledge exchange on forensic science advancements, with an emphasis on integrating forensic, humanitarian, and technological progress.

The 15th Asian Forensic Sciences Network (AFSN) Annual Meeting and Symposium from September 11 to 15, 2023 held at Pullman Hotel City Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Attended by 400 members coming from the different member institutes from 18 countries wherein it is a platform for forensic scientist in Asia to come together to discuss, share and advance forensic science with this year’s theme, “Light and Shadow: Technology vs Evidence.

As the current AFSN President, PBGEN CONSTANCIO T CHINAYOG, JR delivered an inspirational message encouraging each member institutes to continue its meaningful collaborations as it strengthens forensic sciences across the Asian regions.

The symposium formally marked its opening with the lighting of the AFSN sphere led by the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation of Malaysia, Hon. Chang Lih Kang together with Madam Halimah Abdul Rahim, Vice-President AFSN, Dr. Angeline Yap, International Liaison AFSN, and PBGEN CONSTANCIO T CHINAYOG JR, AFSN President.
